Clue Four

Saxophone on Cornwall Ave

Clue #4

Follow the sounds of a“Hot Sax” and name

that tune he's playing to earn your next clue.

Music has been a huge part of our sons’ lives. Both of our boys played the saxophone throughout middle school and high school. Both were also involved with jazz band, which was quite the early morning commitment. They really enjoyed performing in concerts and attending music festivals  and trips. Kyle was blessed to travel to China with the Squalicum High School band and played his saxophone on the Great Wall!! We wanted to incorporate saxophone music into the race, so Ms Reilly arranged for a Squalicum HS band member to be stationed on Cornwall Avenue, just around the corner from AB Crepes. She was playing tunes on her saxophone. What we thought would be the easiest stop was the toughest for most teams because they couldn't hear the music from Railroad Ave. Some teams drove to Squalicum HighSchool. This was where the teams split up and there was quite a gap. Once they finally did find the saxophone player and "name that tune", then they were given their next clue.  We don’t have any photos from this stop because our saxophone player was busy playing tunes!

Clue #5

The next stop is the ‘purrrfect’ place to visit a new furry friend. The volunteer on-site will give you your next task. You can reserve your time later to come back and enjoy a beverage while getting to know these adoptable cuties.
