T-SHIRTS
There were so many incredible people who helped make this event possible. I wanted to say a few words about Dawn at Mr T's Awards & Embroidery in Mt Vernon.
Konrad had ordered T-shirts for the bed race in the past, so he contacted his normal company here in Bellingham, but they didn't have the time to get the order together. So, he contacted a 2nd Bellingham company, and that became a lot of miscommunications about Vector Files and a big disaster.
So, 10 days before the event (YIKES!), I contacted Dawn at Mr T's. (My sister's friend Amanda had told us about Dawn and had worked with her while coordinating a fundraising event in Skagit County). I was beginning to think we wouldn't have T-shirts for the race!
I called on Thursday. Dawn said--yep--she can make that happen!! So, I drove there that Friday to work with her to put the order together. It was amazing that she could even get it done in time, and the price was reasonable. She ended up donating a portion of her profit to make sure that the design looked good, and we have a nice quality t-shirt with fun colors because of it. So, thank you to Mr T's Awards & Embroidery in Mt Vernon!!
